About the Role
As a Leather Goods Designer, you’ll contribute significantly to the design and development of our luxury handbag collections. You’ll work closely with senior designers and the Creative Director to create beautiful, functional designs that align with the brand’s identity.This is a hands-on role where you will actively participate in all phases of the design process, from concept to final prototype
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in designing new collections, transforming creative ideas into detailed sketches and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with senior designers to refine designs and ensure they meet brand standards for quality and aesthetic.
- Create technical drawings and assist in prototype development, ensuring designs are accurate and feasible for production.
- Work cross-functionally with development and production teams to ensure design specifications are met.
- Participate in design reviews and feedback sessions, helping to refine designs based on input from the team and Creative Director.
- Maintain and organize design archives, keeping track of collections, sketches, and prototypes.
- Stay current with industry trends, bringing fresh ideas and innovative techniques to the design process.
- Contribute to the selection of materials, finishes, and hardware for handbags.
- Manage your projects independently, with a strong ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Who You Are:
- You hold a degree in Applied Arts, Fashion Design, or a related field.
- You have 3–5 years of experience in handbag design or related fashion accessory design.
- You are proficient in sketching, technical drawings, and using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Familiarity with 3D modeling tools (e.g., Rhino, Solidworks) is a plus.
- You are passionate about luxury fashion and have a strong understanding of design and production processes.
- You are a strong communicator, able to collaborate effectively with design and production teams.
- You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple design projects efficiently.
- You are adaptable and can easily respond to feedback while maintaining a high level of creativity.
