Manufacturing Scientist DSP (a)
The Scientist will conduct laboratory studies to support tech transfer (TT), manufacturing investigations and process improvement projects. The responsibilities will be around the following task areas:
- Executing and documenting purification and filtration experiments
- Analyzing lab study samples and data, authoring reports to document study outcomes, communicating study results to management and project teams
- Performing activities to support the manufacturing lab operations including sample and data management, reagents and consumables management, buffer/solution preparation, equipment maintenance
- Collaborating cross-functionally to support manufacturing scale projects (TT, process investigations, CAPA or change control implementation)
- Authoring investigation protocols and reports, validation protocols and reports, sample plans as required
International, pharmaceutical company8 months contract with extension option
In order to be considered for the role, the selected candidate must have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioprocess Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or similar discipline OR Apprenticeship with 3+ years work experience in GMP Labs
- 1-2 years work experience in the industry
- Technical knowledge and experience with biomanufacturing and/or process development
- Experience with operating lab scale purification and filtration systems
- Proficiency with data workflows and data analytics is an advantage
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Our client, an internationally renowned pharmaceutical company in the Solothurn area is recruiting. On its behalf we are now looking for a Manufacturing Scientist Downstream (a) starting ideally in May, to join their international team till end of this year.
Depending on the selected candidate's performance and motivation, there is a possibility of an extension or a permanent take over.
